Say hello to our new friend...

This is our new friend. He is a 2005 Toyota Prius. And he is ours...on accident. Well maybe on accident by me, I should have known better than to take Raymond to a car dealership! We went to Menlove Toyota in Bountiful with Jim & Celeste to find out what a certain deal was that Raymond heard on the radio. When we got there and found out the deal wasn't what we thought, I was wrong in thinking that we were done. Raymond & Jim then started asking on getting Jim a minivan for a good price. We found one they liked and started negotiating on a price. Raymond was having the new car buzz without us actually getting a car which I thought was genius...again I was wrong. It soon turned into a "give us 2 cars for this price and then we have a deal" and somehow we ended up leaving with a car...and Jim did not! I do not know how it happened but it was a complete reversal!! I had not even noticed the prius but Raymond did and decided he wanted it. We got a great deal and are very excited for our new toy and very very excited for the excellent gas mileage. So far we are averaging 43 MPG!! This is car #16 for us in our 4 years together!!

So So Sorry!!

So I opened my blog up at work and what did I hear...a rude little intro with several obscenities!! I do not know what happened but the song The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson ended up turning into the aforementioned tune. So I am so so sorry for any of you that heard it but just know you SHOULD have told me!! I had no idea that is the wonderful speech that welcomed you to my blog!! So again sorry and I hope you like the new opening song!!

Peace. Love. And happy trails.

Angela Marie

Angela Marie Whipple was born 3/10/2010 at 11:17 am. She was 5 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. This sweet baby had a bigger purpose than any of us could imagine. She spent 9 short months in her mommy's belly and then returned to her Father in heaven. Baby Angela has brought our family closer together, taught us to better support one another, cry together and love together. There have been several long sleepless nights, busy days helping one another, and several tears shed for this sweet baby but we know now more than ever that our Father in heaven has a plan for each of us and someday we will be together forever. Jim & Celeste were chosen to be the parents of this special angel and have great blessings in store for them. I am grateful for the special moments I was able to share with Angela Marie. I was able to help make hand & foot molds, dress her, pose her for pictures, and I even helped with her first haircut. Raymond helped Celeste's dad make a special chest for all these keepsake's to go in.

Her funeral was today. It was heart wrenching to watch her Dad carry her casket to the chapel, her Mom so physically weak from grief, and her big sisters pull her casket to her grave in their big wood wagon. We can't imagine the pain they are feeling but we do know how much we long to be parent's and how heart broken we would be to have been so close only to have our baby taken from us. The services were beautiful, fit for a Daughter of God. We love you Angela Marie and are grateful and proud to be your Aunt & Uncle. We love your mom, dad and sisters and promise to watch over them for you.

One of my favorite quotes which has brought me comfort...

Today marks a profound and bittersweet milestone for all of us, as we bear witness to both an end and a beginning. And while we must continue on, we must also be grateful to have been blessed with someone who has so ably guided us to where we are today. When there has been so much love and happiness for someone, it is natural to be reluctant to close such a wonderful chapter in our lives, for moving forward is rarely accomplished without considerable grief and sadness. And while our sorrow may be profound, the clouds will clear, and the sun will shine on us again. And in that warm, bright light we will find ourselves facing a glorious future. A future of exciting challenges and infinite possibilities, in which the horizon will stretch out before us, trimmed in the heavenly glow of the sunrise of our tomorrow.

Because I love him!

So my dear husband has been very busy and very stressed about getting a project done at work and making the deadline. He has had way to many hours in to few days. He was supposed to be off at 1:00 pm Friday afternoon but he wasn't off til 6:30 pm which cancelled our plans for the evening. Instead of letting it bum us out I wanted to do something to make the dear boy smile, therefore I bought him a little present...Which turned into a date...
Which caused a cute SMIRK when he walked into the house...
and a very excited (dramatized because he knew I was having fun) reaction...
which when he actually saw what his present was...pure joy!
Not only a movie that I haven't let him see since it came out because I didn't want to see it (selfish I know but it scares me!) but his first blue ray DVD!! He was very excited and has since watched it 2x and yes even I liked it! I love you Raymond and am so grateful for all that you do so that we can have an amazing life together!

**I had to get creative with my wrapping job but my construction paper, dollar store stamps, and some ribbon really turned out well!!

New Purchase

Look what we just bought!! We have been wanting one for a while and came across some extra money so we were able to get one!! Yay, I am so excited!! I had to work a 12 the next day and just wanted to get off so I could go buy food but I don't think grocery shopping after a long day is a very good idea!! Our freezer is now full of ice cream bars, otter pops, pizzas, chicken nuggets, and pot pies! I did happen to throw in some kinda good foods such as lasagna, garlic toast, tilapia, chicken, and lots of vegetables! Anyone is welcome to come over and have some ice cream and chicken nuggets!
