Sunday afternoon we headed down to the Utah State Fair. My brother Steve manages Northern district for Verizon Wireless, so he spent over 100 hours at the fair. Yes, he was hating life come Sunday but he was still super nice and got us free entrance tickets, free drinks, and showed us all around. I hadn't ever been to to the State Fair, and well it was pretty fun. There were lots of animals to see (which I don't think is very humane, but don't get me started on that), lots of fun entertainment, and nice big slide that yes we all went on again. Lexi LOVED it! I don't know that the state fair is something we will have to try every year but we did give it a good run through this year:
- Frog Legs-Check
- Alligator-Check
- Deep Fried Chocolate Covered Bacon-Check (disgusting!)
- Crawdads-Check
- Elephant Scones w/honey butter-Check
- Giant Slide on a burlap sack-Check
- Raymond sticking a giant magnet to my earring as I walk away-Ouch & Check
- Fun booths with things we don't need-Check
- Good company-Check
- Interesting crowds to watch-Check
If you know Raymond at all, you know he didn't try the top four--but that's okay, Me Steve & my Dad enjoyed those ones on our own!! Thanks for the fun tour Steve!
