Life...

Life has been busy...we feel very pressed for time...and since I am unemployed that is saying something...haha! I feel bad for Ray because he is constantly being pulled in every direction! Some of the highlights of what we have been up to...

  • We had a BBQ with friends from our ward...we ended up with a group of nearly 20...because Raymond doesn't like to leave anyone out!  We had delicious burgers, brats, salads, cookies and smores.  We set up our fire pit in the backyard and everyone just ate around the fire...it was GREAT!  It was a very chill evening and fun to visit with everyone!  Our friends the Torrey's are moving to Texas so it was fun to have one last hurrah with them.  After everyone left (they all have kids so they were all gone by 8:30...we love our friends but really need some friends without kids so we can have a bit later nights!! haha!) Raymond and I just hung out around the fire til nearly 10 pm and it was so fun to just enjoy each other and the great outdoors of Ogden..haha!
  • We have spent time helping Jim fix up his house since he has renters moving in...mostly Raymond on this but I have spent many hours sitting and watching as he worked. Thankfully it is almost done.
  • We drove to Elko and were able to celebrate the blessing of Cammie & Kyle's newest baby, Madalyn. It was fun to be able to see them and hang out for a bit but it was a LONG drive!
  • We went to dinner with family on Memorial Day, went on a mini-bike ride on our new beach cruisers (our birthday presents this year!), and watched a movie with friends.  Those five hours were the most fun we had the whole weekend...it was quite the busy weekend with lots of work and driving.

We are enjoying life and trying not to get to overwhelmed with all that we have going on, one day we will feel like our projects are getting the attention they desperately need and one day we will be so happy that we have so much to do but for now we are grateful for all that we have and all those in our lives!

I know exactly what you mean about needing some friends without kids. Too bad you don't live closer, or we could hang out past 8:30 together.
