So I realize my posts are a bit out of order but my mind is a little scattered so there really is no hope for order! On our anniversary we went up four-wheeling to White Rock and had dinner overlooking the bay. This is where we were when Raymond proposed, although the weather was a lot better this time around. The night he proposed it was very stormy and rainy but we still wanted to go up the mountain! So when we got up there we tried to set up a little tent for shelter and couldn't really figure it out so we stuck a pole in the middle of it and strapped the rest of it to the four-wheeler! We were eating dinner and Raymond suddenly jumped up and said he needed to get the camera before it was too dark. So when he came back around to the front of the tent, he dropped to one knee with a rose in one hand and a ring in the other. He said he had all sorts of fabulously romantic things to say but the poor boy was so nervous he just blurted out "Nicole, will you marry me?". I of course said yes! We then realized that the storm was headed straight for us so we packed up and headed down the mountain. When we got back to the Whipple's both of our families were there to celebrate with a 'Carrot cake and Cherry 7 up' engagement party! It's a family tradition of celebrating and getting marital advice and toasting to the new couple! We really wanted to head out of town to celebrate our anniversary but August is a super crazy month for us so we were happy to get at least one night to celebrate together! Who knows, maybe we will get a trip in before the end of the year!
