I had the opportunity to attend an "Emergency Preparedness for Long Term Care Facilities" conference for work and it was AWESOME! It got me so stinking excited for emergency preparedness! I am now scheduled to get my HAM radio license and to do a CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) course. I also have planned where I want all of my emergency preparedness supplies to go. I really want to get 3 55-gallon drums of water, a solar powered cooking system as well as solar powered lighting devices oh and so much more!! I also need to learn how to go to the cannery, they always post whats coming up in our ward bulletin but truth be told I have never been and don't have a clue of how to go about it!! Oh, how I love emergency preparedness!

I went to the canery for my first time a couple months ago and it feels good to have a start on our food storage! Just ask someone in your ward if you can your own stuff or you can go and purchase what they have on their shelf! Im coming to you in an emergency :)
