Memorial Day Weekend

We were able to spend Memorial Day weekend up at New Canyon.  I love this place and would spend every weekend here if I could!  Raymond and I went up Thursday by ourselves and then were joined by others throughout the weekend! It was so fun!  We hadn't been camping with just us two so it was really fun even if only for a night! We sat by the fire, Raymond napped and sang camp fire songs, and I read a book.  It was so relaxing!

 Causey is full of amazing sights, it is so gorgeous and although it looks like the sun is shining and warm, most of the weekend was full of rain, snow and freezing cold temperatures!

 Once again, these girls were one of the highlights of the weekend!  They are so fun to with!

 The boys kept it interesting with the rides, Steve got stuck in the snow, Raymond had to dig out a snowy entrance so we could ride a trail which by the way was about 6 miles with a good portion of the ride being down a river with lots of rocks and trees to go over!  It was SO FUN! We got bucked off the four-wheeler a couple times this weekend but nothing too major. 

 Raymond found this fun little jaunt up the large creek and through a big 'ol pond and up a steep hill. Needless, to say we stayed entertained for hours!!  Raymond ended up getting knee deep in the water as he rescued my dad from a near tip-over incident!  It was extremely cold but still we enjoyed every moment of it!

 We had a great weekend of sitting by the fire, playing cards, going on "vroom vroom" rides, and being completely entertained by my cute nieces! Raymond & I spent each night in our tent, which in the pouring rain that completely drowned us leaked through in the night.  Instead of being distraught over raining within our tent, we simply repositioned our heads and continued sleeping!  Raymond admitted our last night that had it not been for my desire to be in a tent he would have slept in the trailer every night!  I guess I am the adventurous one out of the two of us!  I am hoping to get back here soon, I LOVE it!

You may not be able to tell but in the picture on the far bottom left Lexi has just tried a bite of smore and has ended up with marshmallow all over her hands, coat, and her left eye!! How? I have no clue!!  But isn't she cute!
