Don't take offense, see below for explanation of title!
Life has been full of busyness and fun so here is the rundown...
October 30--
We went to my cousins wedding in Springville, it was lovely and their cake was incredible. I may have to try to replicate it but only if people promise to come over and eat it! Afterwards we wandered our way home and ended up at Jess & Kip's where we watched the game, ate yummy Baked Potato Soup (SO SO GOOD!) and played card games! Thanks guys for a way fun night! We even got away without buying ANY Halloween candy this year!!
October 31--
A few weeks ago the Bishop visited our home and asked Raymond if he would accept a new calling. He asked him to be the Scoutmaster working with the Deacons. Raymond of course said yes although he was very nervous. Well today in sacrament they called Raymond to be the 2nd Counselor in the YM Presidency...yup. We both looked at each other a little puzzled. Not once when the bishop was at our home did he call it this, I suppose we should have put it together...but we didn't! Oh well, he was set apart after church! He will do great at this new calling! I am excited for him and he is slowly getting excited as well!
After church we headed to Salt Lake and went to dinner with my dad at Joe's Crab Shack...they have the funniest shirts there! And really yummy crab! My dad got a shirt with a scantily clad mermaid (which I was informed was no worse than Arial, true true) and I really wanted to get Raymond this shirt...
Isn't it funny! On the back it says "We Do...Joe's Crab Shack"! I just loved it and so did Raymond, he is just a little self-conscious so it still waits at the store...but just maybe he will wear it one day! My dad left Wednesday for Brazil...have fun!
November 1--
Whipple's had a late Halloween party which included lots of cute little characters running around, good food and as usual someone always has tears. This time it was Sarah, she fell in a hole, and as the nurse of the family I am always in charge of repairs...which also means all of the kids are beginning to fear me! I am very VERY nice about helping but it comes with the territory, they know if grandma calls me in to take over then it must be serious...cause grandma can fix anything! After hanging with the Whipple's for a little bit we headed over to our friends, Dani & Michelle, house. Every week we have a movie/game night with these two and sometimes other people that have become friends. It is really fun and we have found ourselves looking forward to it each week! This week we watched The Happening, which is pretty good. Thanks everyone for a great night!
November 2--
Tonight we went over to Spencer & Tiffany's house for dinner, dessert and a movie. Tiffany made us some awesome lemon pepper chicken with all the sides, then Spencer made us some super yummy caramel popcorn, SO GOOD! That boy has a gift when it comes to popcorn. Seriously! We watched the Labyrinth which is just a timeless classic...David Bowie in those one piece leotards...(insert sarcasm)...yay! I really like the movie but the clothing for Bowie could have been less revealing! Very fun night guys thanks!!
November 3--
Tonight was Raymond's first night at young mens. He had a great time but is realizing just how much work it is going to take. For the last while young mens has consisted of dodgeball and basketball. The boys haven't done much of anything towards their scouting or Duty to God awards so he is going to have to start organizing that. He also has to start planning where he wants to take them for Scout's Camp. Plus he needs to get used to teaching & attending young mens every Sunday instead of teaching Elder's Quorum once a month. But I know that Raymond can do anything he puts his mind to and he will do great!
November 4--
Crash. We have been so incredibly busy, having lots of fun, but also each of us work 40 hours a week and I like to think my house is clean most of the time and my husband gets home cooked meals regularly, so that causes us the occasional need to CRASH! We are looking forward to a nice weekend, so far we have lots planned but hopefully we still get a good sleep too!!
Happy Fall!
