Grown Up's Night @ Whipple's

Brenda had the best idea...ever.  Imagine a Whipple family gathering...no kids.  We love kids, we love our nieces and nephews, we love playing with them, we love seeing them.  But...this was the first time the Whipple family has done anything without the kids included...ever!  I have never witnessed a gathering of adults only doing adult things when the Whipple's have been involved.  It was so fun being able to visit, eat adult food, and watch a movie.  Brenda planned and orchestrated the entire event and it was so fun.  All but three of the siblings were able to attend.  We watched the Forgotten Carols, which was a first for me.  Great night!  I was surprised how much energy I had since I had worked a graveyard the night before then got up for lunch with one of the most amazing people ever and then headed to Brigham for an awesome night.  So glad I was able to be awake (I don't usually do graveyard and really don't like not sleeping)!

The men set up the movie on the projector and we all enjoyed theater style seating!!
Speaking of lunch, Raymond and I went to lunch with STACIE SUMMERS!  She is exactly who I needed to see!  I have been struggling insanely and people mean well but sometimes I would rather talk about anything but how I am feeling.  Without Stacie even knowing that all we talked about for the next 4 hours in a Chili's booth was everything under the moon but "how I was feeling".  Raymond was embarassed at times because we were laughing so loud but we don't care!  We had so much fun!  I wish she didn't live in Kansas or I wish I lived in Kansas but I just don't see her often enough!  It really doesn't matter how long in between us seeing each other or talking but we pick up right where we left off.  Thank you so much for an amazing lunch and the best real deep hearted laugh I have had in a VERY long time! She moved into my neighborhood when we were 7 years old and we have been the best of friends since (well since I gave up my love for Elvis)!  Man, I just love this woman!!  Thanks for coming to visit!
