Merry Christmas 2011

Christmas was fabulous.  Raymond showed me once again how sweet he is.  I went to work, he stayed home and cooked and cleaned and cooked some more.  Christmas was at our house this year so we had lots to do to prep for the big day! We even cooked our first turkey ever!  I have officially molested a turkey...or at least that is what it feels like. Other than putting it in the roaster pan the night before and waking up to the roaster pan being dead so we put the turkey in the oven and it got done way early but it was still really good! I had made my grandmas homemade rolls on Christmas Eve, best ones I have ever made!  I ended up making 5 dozen because we took them to Whipple's as well but they were all beautiful! Dinner was delicious and we had a giant table of goodies we had gotten from all over the place and then I bought a bunch of goodies so we could be sure to have all of our childhood favorites so needless to say we had plenty to snack on throughout the day!

We had so many presents to open, Madison was so excited and kept looking at all of them to see whose name was on each one!  We got the picture for Cody in Hawaii and Raymond did an awesome job matting and framing it!  My mom got a new camera since hers drowned in Hawaii, she was very excited!  Steve was incredibly excited for his $120 steaks, yeah Jodi was not impressed but Steve couldn't be happier!

I am glad we had the sunroom to gather in and had brought up extra seating because we definitely needed all the space we could get! Raymond hid the pickle before everyone had gotten there so we did a search as a family, it was a pretty good fight between Jess & Cody!  The winner got a couple movies!

My mom gave the girls some super cute fairy dress ups and the girls LOVED them!  They make some pretty cute fairies! My dad got the girls some artsy type stuff and Madison has been loving designing outfits...after all she is our diva!  Briele was just happy to be there and just wanted to walk around!

Jess & Kip and Raymond & I got my dad an underwater spear gun, he was pretty excited.  He went in the backyard to try it out and Steve & I couldn't stop laughing because everytime he would shoot it it would miss the box and since it is hooked on a rope kept coming back to hit my dad!  Thank goodness it has a blunt tip!

I got the girls lots of makeup and they couldn't help but put makeup all over them, everyone else and then that led into styling my hair!  It was only a little bit painful to have all three of them pulling at my hair!  Jess had made them the cutest "Build a Fort" kits!  My mom gave us some way cool waffle makers, Honeyville pancake mix and some super good syrup and a HUGE bag of peanut M&M's...loved it!  My dad gave us a couple gift cards to PF Chang's (can't wait to try it, we have been wanting to forever!), Captain America & Green Lantern on Blue Ray.  Cody gave us a Browning candle in a tiny dutch oven (I have always wanted one!) and he renewed our Costco membership!!  We definitely got spoiled, had a blast spending time with the family and come the end of the day...I was definitely ready for bed!!  Merry Christmas!!
